Holland Lop • Buck
The one who started it all. Our smutty orange founding buck with hidden broken genetics and tricolor heritage.
Holland Lop • Doe
Our rich chocolate doe with clean genetics and the most determined personality on the property.
Mini Lop • Doe
Our overachieving supermom. High white broken blue doe who kindled nine beautiful kits on her very first litter.
Holland Lop • Doe
Our newest arrival with extraordinary genetics — harlequin dam, broken blue sire and confirmed tricolor producing history.
Birchbark Rabbitry is named after the street we call home — Birchbark Drive in Massachusetts — where birch trees line our property and our rabbits live in a warm enclosed pen alongside our flock of thirteen chickens.
We are a family operation. Our three kids are junior board members of Gavi Hand Enterprises, the nonprofit that connects everything we do. Our daughter Maddie co-designed our fox mascots. Our boys are building their own gaming site. We believe in raising kids and rabbits the same way — with purpose, care and room to grow.
Every rabbit we raise has a food-inspired name, a genetic background we understand deeply, and a home where they are known individually. We do not produce large numbers. We produce well-loved, well-documented kits that make exceptional companions.

We believe every buyer deserves to understand what their rabbit carries. Our genetics guide explains Vienna, broken pattern, harlequin and dilute in plain language — because informed owners make the best rabbit parents.
What it means, how to identify it and why it matters for breeding pairings. Our whole herd is assessed.
From hidden carriers to seven out of nine kits expressing broken — the story of Cinnamon's first litter.
The rare alternating color pattern that appeared in Clover's very first litter — and what Blueberry Tart could produce.
We could not be happier with our Holland Lop from Birchbark. He was so well socialized when we brought him home — ran right up to us from day one. The genetics information provided was incredibly thorough.
The level of care and knowledge that goes into every litter at Birchbark is extraordinary. We were kept updated with photos every week and they answered every question we had. Truly exceptional breeders.
I specifically wanted a Vienna marked Holland Lop and Birchbark was the only breeder who could explain the genetics clearly and match me with exactly the right kit. The support after bringing her home has been wonderful.
