Meet the Herd

Every rabbit at Birchbark has a name, a story and a genetic profile we know by heart

Holland Lop Buck

Cinnamon 🍂

The one who started it all

Our smutty orange Holland Lop buck and the founding animal of Birchbark Rabbitry. Cinnamon arrived before we even had a rabbitry — we just had a very charming rabbit who ended up changing everything.

What appeared to be a straightforward smutty orange Vienna marked buck turned out to be carrying hidden broken genetics inherited from his tricolor dam. His very first litter produced 7 out of 9 broken kits, confirming what we suspected.

Vienna Marked (Vv) Broken Carrier (En n) Black Based Orange Tricolor Dam Heritage
Genetics at a glance: Smutty orange (black base), Vienna marked (Vv), confirmed broken carrier (En n), dilute status unknown, possible harlequin heritage through tricolor dam.

Our Does

Nutella

Holland Lop • Doe

Nutella 🍫

Our rich chocolate Holland Lop doe with the most determined personality on the property. She spent two weeks auditioning every hutch, stole Cinnamon's hay and napped in the dirt — all in the same afternoon. When she finally decides to kindle she will be extraordinary.

vv Clean (No Vienna) Chocolate Base
Best pairing: Nutella × Cinnamon produces chocolate Vienna marked kits with zero VV risk — the cleanest pairing genetically in our herd.
Clover

Mini Lop • Doe

Clover 🍀

Our overachieving supermom. Clover built an extraordinary nest, pulled more fur than seemed physically possible, and kindled 9 kits on her very first litter at Birchbark — including a suspected harlequin kit. She checks on them constantly and has not stopped impressing us since.

Vienna Marked (Vv) Broken (En n) Blue Based (dd)
Current litter: 9 kits with Cinnamon — 7 broken, possible harlequin, colors developing. Available summer 2026.
Blueberry Tart

Blueberry Tart 🫐

Our newest arrival with an extraordinary pedigree — harlequin Vienna marked dam, broken blue Vienna marked sire. She has already proven she produces blue tort broken tricolors. Possibly pregnant on arrival. Posed in the hyacinths on her first day like she owned the property.

Vienna Marked (Vv) Broken Carrier (En n) Harlequin Lines Blue Dilute (dd)
Potential: Blue tort broken, blue harlequin, tricolor. Paired with Cinnamon she could produce some of the rarest Holland Lop colors we have ever seen.
