Our Rabbits

Meet the Herd

The breeding animals behind every Birchbark litter — each one selected for temperament, color genetics and the qualities that make our program what it is.

Our Buck

Cinnamon — Holland Lop Buck
Holland Lop — Sire
Cinnamon
Orange — likely Smutty Orange · 3.6 lbs

Cinnamon is the heart of our color genetics program. Despite his compact size he is a natural model — calm, curious and completely at ease being handled. He is the sire behind our dilute litter program and his litter outcomes suggest he carries the harlequin gene making him one of our most valuable animals.

His dilute carrier status and broken gene have been confirmed through litter outcome analysis. Harlequin carrier status is strongly supported by offspring colors but continues to be assessed as more litter data develops.

Our Does

Nutella — Holland Lop Doe
Holland Lop — Dam
Nutella
Chocolate Self · 4.8 lbs

Nutella brings our chocolate genetics — fully recessive and completely clean of Vienna gene. Paired with Cinnamon she has the potential to produce some of our most sought after colors including chocolate harlequin and lilac. Her dilute status is currently unknown and her first litter with Cinnamon will confirm whether she carries the dilute gene — potentially producing lilac kits.

Part of the Family

Mochi — Holland Lop
Holland Lop — Beloved Pet
Mochi
Broken Blue · ~7–8 years

Mochi has always been a pet — never bred, simply loved. She has been part of the family for years and was even a gentle mother figure to our baby chicks when they first arrived. Fixed and living her best retired life at Birchbark, she is a living example of the broken blue color combination and a reminder of why we fell in love with Holland Lops in the first place.
